Pillsbury Grands Pizza Pockets

These were warm, soft, comfort food in an easy-peasy package! Just a few simple ingredients and you have a gooey, cheesy better than a hot-pocket sandwich!

I've been thinking about making something along these lines and am glad I finally gave them a try. They were soft, flaky, and a very tasty spin on traditional pizza (and definitely quicker). We all agreed they tasted like an extra yummy hot pocket sandwich. They are easy to tweak to your personal preferences with whichever cheeses and fillings you prefer. If you like calzones and you like soft fluffy biscuits, you will enjoy these little pizza pocket biscuit sandwiches. They reheat well in the oven as well.

Pillsbury Grands Pizza Pockets

Ingredients
1 can Pillsbury grand biscuits
Desired pizza fillings (ground sausage, mushrooms, onion, pepper, pepperoni, bacon, etc.)
1 TBS cheese per biscuit
3/4 TBS seasoned spaghetti sauce per biscuit
1 TBS shredded mozzarella cheese per biscuit
2 TBS melted butter
garlic powder
Italian seasoning

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to temperature indicated on biscuit package.
  2. Split biscuits in half and open to create a pocket in the middle (try not to break them all the way in half, just make a pocket without separating the outside edges as much as possible).
  3. Use a spoon to pour the spaghetti sauce into the pocket, add fillings and cheese, then carefully seal all the way around the outside edges.
  4. Brush tops of the biscuits with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for the amount of time indicated on the Pillsbury biscuit can, or until golden brown and fillings are heated through, and cheese is melted.
